On 2am Aug. 22, 2008, American AC-130 gunship called by US Special Forces attacked the village of Aziz Abad, Afghanistan and initially reported 30 Taliban killed with no civilian casualties - both claims untrue. Truth was shocking - 92 innocent civilians died, including 50 children, 19 women and old men, the highest single loss of civilian lives since 2001 invasion.
