In addition to what i say in the video, I wanted to add that I am definitely not a supporter of socialism or large government. It just doesn't make sense that corruption and violence would cease to exist (or even be reduced) if only we would get rid of government.

Competition destroys excess corruption.

Monopolies breed excess corruption.

In theory this is a good idea, but if it were real competition, then it would be private vs private.

I assume you are against monopolies, as am I. Unfortunately, Government is the greatest monopoly of all. It is a monopoly on the most violent thing of all- weapons. And that is why it is inherently unbeneficial (aka "evil").

When monopolies exist, there is no competition. Because of this, "public vs private", Government will always win.

I think he meant something more like, "environmentalists have usually been directly impacted by environmental problems".

I don't respect anyone's unjustified, irrational religious beliefs. But I do tolerate these beliefs! If someone wants to go to church, it's not like I would try to stop them. I respect freedom of religion (a fundamental right under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms). And I also ALWAYS RESPECT religious PEOPLE, even though I have no respect for their religious fantasies. This is more respect and tolerance than I ever get in return. So I don't think I'm the one that should change!
