  • As far as I've been able to find, and it might be in one of these posts, it cannot be explained with the presently known laws of physics.

  • Yeah, it's hard to see all 4 in the video, but they were definitely there - one normal outer bow and the triple inner bow. And yes, I believe that God invented rainbows!

  • Yeah, I'm hoping I can get in touch with him and we can both go on Jimmy Kimmel and talk about it!

  • Dear Bear,

I posted a video of what I called a “quadruple rainbow” which was a double rainbow with a triple spectrum in one of the bows. Almost immediately after I posted it, I started getting comments about “what would Double Rainbow Guy think of this", etc. I didn’t think it was that important until finally somebody told me how to find your video and I finally saw it.

I think your reaction was great and should be our reaction to all of nature.

    God bless your enthusiasm!

  • OK will do.

  • I just saw this phenomenon in Big Sky Montana. Three inner optical spectrums, and one outer optical spectrum. At one point I thought I counted 4 inner optical spectrums, but I'll just say I saw 3 for sure. I took still shots of it, but after seeing your video, I wish I had made a video recording too. Great job! Thanks for posting this, Bro!

  • @ItsVideos Judging from the scientific information you referred to, perhaps there is theoretically no limit to the number of spectrums that could be manifested. I think if you thought you saw a fifth spectrum, there must have been something there . . .

  • WTF BOOM

  • A supernumerary rainbow—also known as a stacker rainbow—is an infrequent phenomenon, consisting of several faint rainbows on the inner side of the primary rainbow, and very rarely also outside the secondary rainbow. Supernumerary rainbows are slightly detached and have pastel colour bands that do not fit the usual pattern. It is not possible to explain their existence using classical geometric optics.
