@Xylogeist just a note, I bought the second gen elites in '06 and have ALWAYS ran it vertical and it never has had disc or heat issues. I ran mine a lot and I had many XBL friends say mine would fail and I say HA every single friend on my list has had issues so my vertical xbox has out lived all them horizontals. All you have to know especially with benq, don't be a dumbass and move the console with disc spinning, thats the only way youd have any issues other then POS drive that dies

@Xylogeist and also the 1st player lite moves if you move your console from flat to sideways it moves you lite so that you can have it anyway u want.
-
You got 4 xboxes O.O

ITS BECAUSE HITACHI SUCKS
Xbox's weren't built to be sideways. You're endangering your disks and your system.

@Xylogeist Have you even considerer the fact that they use standard DVD-ROM drives which are horizontal in the console when it is lying flat, just like a desktop PC or laptop. It is in no way endangering anything. 360s even run cooler when lying flat and yes I've verified this with two jtags. Anyway, 360s are in fact designed to run horizontal or vertical hence the ball-bearing in the console which adjusts the ring of light to the correct orientation depending on the consoles position.

@mupet00000 None of my Xbox's adjust the light on the ring when I stand it up >_> Standard DVD-ROM's are usually horizontal. I've never owned a PC where they are vertical. Also, that ventilation business is pure nonsense -_-

@GSXReviews I'm going off of facts here I didn't make this stuff up lol. First of all sync your controller as player 1 and look where the player 1 light is on the console, then flip the console either on its side or standing up and the light will change in order to stay on top in the player 1 location. The 360 is designed to run vertical or horizonal, hence the rubber feet on the underside and the left side of the console. I've monitored the temperatures myself I don't see how it's nonsense.
