I started reading Jean Shepherd while attending Indiana University. While reading the fig newton story, I realize the dormitory I was living in was the one mentioned in the story, Ashton Center. Shep attended IU. I even got the bursar to show me the old index card with his school record on it!

even though it would be neat to see some of the filming locations, I think it would take away some of the magic of the movie. It's like seeing the seams or something to that effect. Also, you would think they would actually get a completely accurate radio for the living room in the house. I have one that matches it down to a "T" and no, it's not for sale.

I went to the house today it was great , the neighborhood isn't that great but we were o.k. they need a parking lot the 14th street traffic circle that you use when you get off expressway is horrible despite this it is a great experience, highly recomended
