An other face of Agnes Baltsa!

This is a rehearsal with the Szeged Filharmony Orchestra for a concert in Lisboa. Conductor is Ervin Acél - a wonderful, but alas not good known hungarian, romanian, austrian conductor. Agnes Baltsa is showing an ugly face because she as a big star has to rehearse with this hungarian orchestra. But the maestro is doing a good job, so that finally you can hear the progress!

Sorru Mr Bulzanvlady but you are wrong and impolite : Madame Baltsa is always a very nice woman and artist too - she is NEVER ugly or impolite and she always want the things to be better and better - If you knew her as me you should agree - and in this Video NOTHING shows impolitness or something against the Conductor and the Musicians - You just wanna make a silly gossip and your arrogance is unaccettable !

@Abigayl1950 So if you think, that that´s a perfect rehearsal, and everything is nice, I don´t really believe, that you have seen so many rehearsals. Anyway I don´t write here my opinion, but the opinion of the conductor, who is no more alive (but maybe for him better- so he must not read all this stupid comments) and the opinion of most musicians in the orchestra. I am quite sure, that if it wasn´t a hungarian orchestra, but an italian or a portuguese, so there wouldn´t have been a concertatall

Your arrogance shows me, that you don´t have any idea what it means to be a good or a bad maestro, what is a "good" orchestra or not. So try to make it better, if you know what is a good maestro!!

Baltsa in her youth was studing to be a composer. So, more than other singers, she knows what is good to the part, to her and to audience. She fights always for the perfection, no matther what is need to do for it. I am 100% Baltsa

I saw nothing abusive at all. No diva attitude. No nasty tone or screaming/ yelling, no throwing things no "walking out" etc.... She smiles at some points in the conversation and helped move a music stand. You can tell that she's all business and no fooling around. I have heard that she's nice to fans that approach her for autographs and have interesting questions. She's brought much musical pleasure to the world.

Now what's the big deal? She discusses the important things in a way any other singer/actress whatever does it too! Also often it looks like it was kinda fun :)She seems to be so nice and funny:)♥her I'm proud to be named after her:)

@peiraiotis56 I'm just stating my opinion and personally, I see nothing disturbing in her behaviour. I have seen Baltsa 'live' many times but have never met her in person so who am I to judge her on anything other than her performances? I have and always will continue to enjoy her performances, which I have always found to be very intense. I'm quite sure we'll never see eye to eye about this. So let's just agree to disagree in this matter.

@Operafan63 Thank you, my dear, for your comment! Why don't you look at her evil eyes? Just do me the favour of watching her movements in this video. She is disturbed by the place and finds nothing to console her. Put yourself now into her shoes. Would you turn all around like a devil, if you were there? Most probably not. You would sit like any other normal person; this is the best proof that she is not normal. Reptilians cannot hide despite their efforts. Simply, one has to be perspicacious!

Oh well, at least Mr Bulzanvaldi will be pleased somebody finally agrees with him ;-) And still, I really can't see anything wrong with this rehearsal... But then again, I'm a big fan so I'm probably extremely biased! As if I care...

i think I heard an apology from Baltsa somewhere in this video. Funny how the maestro did not make sure that there was space for the soprano to sing facing or at least on the side of the conductor. They are the ones who should apologize to Ms. Baltsa.

I am sorry bulzanvladi but you wrong.

Having attended many orchestral rehearsals(especially with vocal soloist) i suggest the following.

Ms Baltsa is arranging with the conductor where she needs to stand to be to comfortable with the orchestra,She obviously does not want to be in front of it,but rather part of it to enable her to sing "with" the orchestra,and for the audience to get the best effect.

Having met Ms Baltsa several times I can sssure you she is a very nice and natural person.

I'm sorry Abigayl1950, but here Ms. Baltsas behaviour has nothing to do with the orchestra being hungarian. I've worked with her in Germany and Italy, and she is always very clear about her needs for performing, that might appear difficult sometimes, but she only is asking for the right space to do her work. Other singers might be a bit more polite in their expression, but I can assure you, that Ms. Baltsa is not treating anybody differently because of their nationality, believe me ;)

Bulzanvladi starts his description correct: this is a rehearsal. Performances don't just happen, it takes time to make them look and sound great. Miss Baltsa is merely trying to find out what space she needs during her performance.

This is a rehearsal and nothing I see is out of the ordinary.
