Denice Frohman ("Ms. Misconception") performs "Abuela"

Denice Frohman ("Ms. Misconception") is a published poet, lyricist and educator who has been writing and performing for over 6 years. Chosen by Scheme Magazine as one of their "2009 Voices of the Year," alongside The Floacist (formerly from Floetry), she is most known for combining the worlds of hip-hop and contemporary poetry. Raised by a Puerto Rican mother and Jewish father in New York City, and proudly a part of the LGBT community, Denice Frohman is an emerging voice in the poetry and spoken word movements.
