The new 2012 Lancia Flavia at Frankfurt Motor Show IAA 2011 including interior and exterior shots. This is the convertible version, I don't know if softtop or hardtop.
I love lancia. I am even more of a fan of old big lancias than sportier alfa romeos. And being a fan of Lancia, I think this is a huge mistake. I am not criticizing Chrysler, but using Lancia for "rebadging engineering" is a real shame. I'm not against the use of shared wheel bases and engines (and transmissions) but styling, materials, chassis tuning and range offer should be unique for each brand. Selling a Chrysler in UK and selling the same car as Lancia in Portugal does not make sense.
@Ifyx In my opinion Lancia has more value than Chrysler, Lancia has far more innovations, better styling and a great history. Something you can't see back in the Thema and Flavia. It's nessecery at this moment to make it through some rough times. Lancia does not deserve this, and neither does Chrysler. Unfortunatly Ferrari always have to be in charche of everything (look at F1). Lancia could make it in the upperclass segment! If certain people allow it....hope they pull through
@BMWmitch046 I would buy a 300C for being American but not a Thema for being Italian because it simply isn't. American design for an Italian brand simply fails. I drive a Chrysler Sebring convertible myself and I would never want a Flavia because it has nothing in common with Italy.
Lancia being competitive with Maserati won't happen because they are part of the same concern. The New Stratos project didn't make it into production because Ferrari didn't want it.
@696stefano I really hope so, lancia and chrysler as well do not deserve to go bankrupt. However, i feel that lancia has to addapt towards chrysler to much. I don't think the lancia thema is going to be succesfull. I would still prefer the 300c over the thema (the look)..i think ( worstcase scenario) lancia needs to scale down significantly and start to build exclusive cars (maserati-range)...They need to produce something massive, that can compete with maserati. Risky though
@BMWmitch046 i know but unfortunately this is the only way to save lancia and chrysler. they were both failing brands chryslers at least had large platforms like the 300 200 and grand voyager so lancia could use those to finally get some cash for its self and stop its image worsening as they are not present in the large car segments the same with chrysler but in the compact segments. sergio has said this temporary to save both companies so that in some years time they can produce their own cars
Why do americans have to fuck everything up...look at Opel now with that cheap material use..it became a mix from korean and american crap....Lancia does not deserve this!
