  • An excellent rendition, particularly given the limits of the program. Just a note thought- the Green Martians weren't called the Tharks, the Tharks were simply one tribe of green men (The one Tars Tarkas commanded). Other Tribes included the Warhoon, Torquas and Thurd.

  • @Jourell1 True. I guess this one is a Thark, and could be referred to as such or as a "Green Man of Mars". But a Green Martian wouldn't necessarily be a Thark...

  • Why isn't the Thark green or the people red (presumably they are the red men of mars because they are much smaller)? I would love to see a cartoon of some barsoom stuff, even if it didn't follow any of the stories perfectly (although that would be my preference).

  • Pardon? He is green. And there is no one else here but an adult Thark, and a couple of babies.

  • Very well done. I'm not sure if you're still checking this account, or playing Spore, but I would love to see Woola.

  • Looks better than Disney's.

  • @Jourell1 Tharks being the most civilized and Thurd's bit each others ears off Warhoon's are the largest group but less rich

  • @timepoet77 I saw that one before, I thought you meant there was more work done than that. It is pretty cool though. Thanks.

  • @christo930 That's easy. Just go to YouTube and type in John Carter test animation from the 1930s, scroll down to a picture of a stiil that says(lettering on a red planet...Mars to be obvious), click on that and just watch. That should help.

  • @timepoet77 It would be awesome if anyone could get a hold of any initial work that was done and put it up on the internet.

  • @christo930 They tried to do a Barsoom cartoon back in the 1930s, which was to have adapted the first three books of the John Carter series. Evidently there wasn't sufficient interest in the concept so as a result it was shelved.

  • Good job, I don't remember the eyeball trees (weren't they from an episode of Space 1999?) but cool anyway.
