Seriously, if it wasn't for Jlo, I would have never known about Selena, neither the World..when she was about to enter the English World of records, she passed away..so Jlo completed that for her by presenting her to the rest of the World instead of just the latino one. She isn't trying to be like Selena, she's trying to make Selena more famous and she did a magnificent job on that one.

Don't forget the fact that Jennifer Lopez actually spent time with Selena's family and watched Selena's performance tapes before she got infront of the camera. You people should be ashamed of yourselves for bashing Jennifer. If it weren't for her, not only would such a beautiful movie wouldn't be created, people no didn't know who Selena was at the time wouldn't have learned about her. Point of the matter is there is NO comparison between Jennifer and Selena,

Jennifer was not only picked out by casting but also Selena's family to portray her. She worked her tail off to get all of Selena's moves and personality down from videos and spending time with Abraham, Marcella, A.B, Suzette, and Chris. You give credit where credit is due, Jennifer done a phenomenal performance. There will never be another Selena, she was a rare breed.
