  • Thanks a lot for your list! I appreciate it!

  • No, he isn't but I don't know his name....

  • This is so sad to watch. Freddie is 10% of what he use to be. I think this is the gig they did toward the end of last year in NYC. David Weis is to be commended for getting Freddie playing again. The band is hot, the arrangements are hot. Freddie is and always will be the greatest jazz trumpeter who ever played in my opinion. It breaks my heart to hear him sounding like this. I love the man. God bless Freddie Hubbard.

  • Maybe you're right

  • is that art blakey playing drums? i know he was dead by then but i mean look at that guy

  • You know I respect Freddie..... today's trumpeters know their lips are messing so they learn to sing, play piano or something regarding music. Arturo is trying to enforce his fans that he now plays piano (which they don't want). Roy Hargrove is doing the big band stuff. All he does is take his solo and the rest of time the band plays. Wynton.... well can't say nothing about him. Haven't heard from Nicholas Payton after his album "Into The Blue". Not knocking any of these trumpeters.

  • @whumbyr he had messed up lips... its happens with all the playing he did. we're talking about 40 years.

  • @whumbyrd But that 10% is still suprisingly better than some, and does manage to remind one of his glory days.

  • Yea, but when legends come to the end we need to respect them for what they have accomplished, and for trying to still make the people happy. GOD bless you dad. R.I.P.

  • I love Freddie too!
