  • is it just me or is honda's music in the ending of the first video and beginning of the second...

no big deal...great video...thanks for the nostalgic flashbacks..

  • The first YouTube video was an experiment. The downloads are consistent and there is a table of contents for them on their home page which will be released shortly.

  • By the way. Where's Ryu's song? i saw both comparisons and didnt hear Ryus song.

  • Its at 3:15 of "Street Fighter II Music Comparison Part 3".

To give you an idea where to find each song, I'm pretty sure that the player bgm's are in alphabetical order.

  • Back in the day, Capcom has officially labeled the SNES-version as the best version in terms of sound and graphics

Might get a lotta shit for that but u can't argue about facts. So are u gonna try to deny what THE DEVELOPERS officially said?

  • Buddy face who made Dark Savior said that it absolutely pushes the Saturn to the max.

Team Ninja's head honch says that DOA Saturn is teh best(Model 2 arcade included).

All kinds of developers say all kinds of things. There are fanboy programmers who will explain how on a technical level, any on console pwns the rest.

The 3 home ports of SFIICE all have strengths over each other.

  • @Number1StarSB My fave is PCE

  • Looks like E Honda's stage theme from the pc engine sounds similar to Super Street Fighter 2.

  • Why were the systems called different names in the US? Why was the Sega system called "Mega Drive" worldwide, but "Genesis" in the US? What kind of a name is "Mega Drive"? What does Drive mean in relation to a game system? And why was NEC's system "PC Engine" in Japan, but "TurboGrafx-16" in the US? Why are Japanese system titles in English, and Japanese games have some English? Do Japanese people speak both Japanese and English? Genesis music sounds closest to arcade, but SNES sounds remixed.

  • 12:06 ken's theme :D

  • If the Genesis ver sounds more like the arcade then arcade must of sound like shit! To me the arcade music sound alot heavier than the genesis. Snes took the arcade music and revamp it to a almost remixed more improved ver just listen to ken stage and saget stage and blanka stage and ryu stage and so on.....

  • I think the Megadrive should win. The only good song on SNES was Ken's theme.

  • 1. Genesis

    2. Snes

    Although they are close

    3. Pc Engine kind of sucks after hearing the Genesis and Snes

  • @Steelix123 Genesis could replicate them. They are just PCM samples. Genesis has a PCM channel it could use for those trumpet sounds if the developers really wanted them. However they used it for more important things like drums and voices.

  • @mookraw23 I feel that the snes emulates the sounds much better but the mega drive (genesis) has more of an authentic arcade sound

  • 6:04 is where the good music starts!
