DANCO Racing - Dave Daniels #34 - Old Dominion Speedway

Todays weather was humid and unpredictable.
The skies looked threatening all day and rain would fall for short intervals. Later in the afternoon, Mother Nature finally decided that racing would roar at Old Dominion Speedway. Fan appreciation night had race fans on their feet while being treated to a night of excitement from all divisions. Simply said; it was a Short track racing experience and a fan/thrill seekers paradise.


The veteran Mike Carte in the #44 car would shine as he lead 19 laps of tonights 30 lap shootout. He would then be passed by the #00 and Dave in the #34 Daniels Auto Care Ford Fusion. The #00 and #34 put on quite a show as they circled the asphalt in a bid for the win. On lap 26 the two cars would race hard down the front straight-a-way and contact was made between turns one and two. The race remained green and Dave would lead the remaining laps and take the checkers for tonights event.


The #00 and Daves #34 were very closely matched in qualifying with only 100th of a second separating the two of them. The #00 qualified at 17.46 and was tonights pole sitter. Dave qualified at 17.47 which made him tonights second quickest in his division.
