im 13 and i started my mealworm colony like a week ago and i got my first pupa i was listening to what you said... most of it atleast but instead of a potato for moisture im using folded damp paper towl and it works im happy:))

I find carots dont mold as much as pots

I got baby mealworms this week I have been trying for about 4 months now I am on my third genaration of beetles wax worms and crickets are a lot faster to breed

Use carrots and kale but mist the kale. They will eat it faster and grow and pupate much faster

i have watched all of ur videos and i think they are rely helpful but can u post a video on the fire belly toads?
i wanted to ask u how long it takes form the pupa to turn a blackish redish color.all of my mealworms are just sttin on top of the oats.i am usualy findin 10-12 pupa each day.
am i doin this right. please reply.
are theses meal worms or super meal worms

to get pupae you have to put them alone and stress them out and that will force them into pupae form

uhhh no. your confusing mealworms with superworms. Mealworms will pupate in a group, but superworms need to be seperated.

u should use carrots instead of potatoes because the potatoes will mold where as carrots just dry out after a few days.

yeah if you look at my newer videos you'll see i switched to carrots.
