We start with 5 days of training on the equipment. on the basis of CSW-01-N version 6.0, EN 287-1: 2004, NEN-EN 12732 and EN 1418. The Gasunie sets additional requirements on top of that: after a visual inspection there is magnetic inspection (MPI), X-rays are taken and TOFD inspection is done, using a Rotoscanner on larger diameters. Then 2 side bend tests are done as well as a weld macro. There is still a difference between a partial qualification test and a full one. At the location of a stop/start, Gasunie requires an extra root bend test.
