In this video I discuss some food issues, accountability for bad choices and lap band surgery in general. Had a terrible weekend and made some horrible decisions... gain of 3.2 lb. Also discuss the grasp that food has on my life.

  • good for you and making this video. these videos count the most in my opinion. i too have had a bad week (not weekend) of eating and paid for it with a 5-7 lb gain. i did get right back to the plan and held tight and in 5 days I lost 6 lbs. you can do it! just get right back into the plan, follow the rules, document your food intake and do things that make you feel good. i love this community. everyone helps each other, we are understanding and we all want to win the battle. hang in there

  • It's SO nice to hear that others have had similar issues. As awful as that sounds.. lol. I have recently started documenting food and exercise. I did really well yesterday, and today plan to do the same, so hopefully I won't have a ton of trouble getting it back off again. Thanks a ton for your comment!

  • I'm thinking about getting banded and it's good to watch a video like this. I'm still trying to decide to do it or not, I guess my food addiction will still remain no matter what. Is it still worth it to get banded though??

  • What's done is done, nothing you can do about it but move forward. We all have set backs. Kudos to you for doing the video. Let's move forward. Take care. :-)

  • I'm proud of you for owning up to the downfall but just remember its a new day so dont beat yourself up.. its over start a new.. Keep it up. Honesty will get you to the finish line.

  • Thisngs like this happen. Think of it as a learning experience. What was it, in your psychology that may have triggered this reaction to the trip. The mental/emotional component is very important in haveing success. Addiction is addiction...you are not the only one. Food addiction is rooted in childhood issues. You can do this!!!!
