  • Start off in a higher stance and work yourself lower over time. That will stretch the calf muscle.

  • In this position, take your arms in a 45 degree angel down by your lower body, and let the hands point in the same direction as the front foot. You'll then have the "Snake creeps down" stance used in Tai chi
