  • Noel, I enjoyed this clip. I'd like to see the rest of it, if possible.

It caotures the demeaning attitudes and psychology that accompany colonial and imperialistic occupation and conquest. You can see similar tactics being used today in Iraq and other parts of the world.

  • Noel Izon can be emailed at sonnyizon at aol dot com thanks for your comments!

  • @JCaguin If you have read about the KATIPUNAN (K.K.K.), you're already aware of the brutality of Americans in those years after we defeated the spaniards.

  • @globetelme well said.

  • The united states had done much damage in the phil than any other colonial masters. spain in all fairness, may have aoppressed the filipinos for hundrends of years but really the spanish goverment made as a full pledge spanish province and it was the spaniard in the philippines who lord over us, had it been known b y the spanish crown a lot of the oppression could have stop. but the americans,

  • The wild tribe of the north still exists until the ende of world war2!

  • this video is cool!

We learn a lot out of this!

Hope u could give us more of like this ethnic type of videos and pictures!

  • What CRAP! Get a life. Learn something other than running your mouth about things that didn't happen and are now subject to your poor revisionist scholarship.

  • they killed every 10 year old so no one can reign or take over the npa's in the phil...how rude

  • Gen Jacob Smith. The man who pillaged my mom's home province in reaction to the Balangiga Encounter (one of their worst defeats before Vietnam and Iraq). They literally made it a "howling wilderness." They erased the villages just as you said. Now, you can see it, but the people of Eastern Samar are slowly rising again. Thanks for putting up the comment.

  • Very educational. I was never taught the history of the Filipinos growing up in the US. I really enjoyed this clip. Hope to see more out there.

  • Thanks, I will contact him there. Noel, sat next to me on a flight to Rome July 1st. We talked about films. I was on my way to do a jazz tour of Europe, which finishes tomorrow and he was going to shoot footage for the Live Earth broadcast. He told me about this clip on youtube. I'm glad he did.
