Just showing one of the many methods used to start a fire with the Magnesium Block. Several readers wrote asking how to keep the magnesium flakes together while scraping. i just bought that magnesium block...pretty bad ass man.. good to have for hiking.... good video man!

having a magnesium block/bar is like having an endless supply of tinder attach to your firesteel. it makes every strike counts. if your are too lazy to scrape the magnesium, you can always use the cotton balls you bring.
