It must depend on shaking the remote the right way or something. My brother could never figure out why I had a lot of @#$%&* trouble with it too. I got so frustrated I thought my remote might be broken, so I tried his and it worked a LITTLE better, but it was still so hard I gave up on these stupid minigames. The Rayman Raving Rabbids games have a similar minigame I'm GOOD at, so the issue is NOT my timing. ⌐_⌐

@Blazingwindfairy hold the wii mote like you are hitting a bell and when that part comes, shake the wii mote back and forth in a hitting motion until the hit tilts on the character.

That is if you are interested in a point and click game. You can not control your character, you just point and click where you want your character to go. Its a cool game but that all that it is and it is mostly puzzle solving your way through the game. It can be difficult. I own it but I haven't played it as much. Maybe you can try renting first.
