A sampler from the very rare Franciosa series Valentine's Day. This is one of 6 episodes I have from old film transfers.

  • How many of the six episodes did Janet Waldo appear in?

  • @bayclub5678 I remember the show well as a fifth grader. He and Jack Soo were a great tandum together and the show should have been renewed for a second season. The funniest line was the "old news reel" show

with the Flying machine where he said "This was the original crop duster. It didn't fly, It just got crops dusty." The show is now even more special because one episode aired the moment my fiancee was born .

  • I enjoyed this show when I was kid. I thought tony was so funny and really cool.

  • Used to watch it when I was a 7 years old kid and it was dubbed in Spanish at that time for Latin America. Jack Soo and Tony Franciosa when things were in Black and white and much more wonderful.

  • He is repeating the list mentioned earlier by Clint Howard...yes, Gomez Addams! I loved this show...he was so classy!

  • Perhaps he was predicting the coming infestation of mexicans into the U.S.

  • With reference to Jack Soo's last line here - "President Johnson, Sandy Koufax, and Gomez" - who's Gomez? Can that be Gomez Addams of the Addams Family??? (Which occupied the half hour block preceding Valentine's Day.)

  • This was one of my favorite shows! ABC-Friday night.....

  • I recall watching 'Valentine's Day' at the time--aged 13 or so--and thinking it was rather droll, esp Jack Soo. I remember my disappointment when it didn't return, and thought I was the only person who remembered the show. Many thanks for posting this.

  • Yes it is!
