  • i'd only ever read of this piece. i had no idea it's so heavy! whoa. for the time when it was performed i can imagine the intensity was greatly amplified. such an alien aesthetic of sound along with these images in a space must've been truly provocative

  • When It was played at the Philips pavilion in 1958, it was played with a 12 speaker surround sound (I think). Simultaneously, random images were flashed up on a giant screen. The audience was generally overwhelmed with a large range of emotions. Few left unaffected.

  • Does anyone have a link to a legal download?

  • Shoda Ish got me here.. you should hear the song SHoda Ish - Historie electronique , its kinda the same beat, well made hip hop and the vid is the same, check it.

  • freaky as fuck

  • @Guitarmaster332 I don't get it

  • At the end (not included in this video) a text appears, in which electronics company Philips thanks the audience for attending the performance.
