Jehovah's Witnesses fought their own war against Hitler, and believe me when I say that he didn't lilke it ! They did it by refusing to fight in his army, by refusing to heil Hitler, by stubbornly continuing to teach others about the hope of everlasting life in a paradise earth where there would be no more war and all of this many times under threat of death, some even losing their lives. So you see, they too fought for our freedoms.

However, rather than fulfilling their obligations as self professed teachers of God's word, where were they???...Blessing troops and guns with catholic, protestant, and so called christian leaders of all religious denominations praying to God to help them kill their fellow so called christians? What happened to "you must love even your enemy?" Had the religious clergy of those times taught what God's requirements were, there would have been no one willing to fight a war !!! Again no room here...

Some interesting comments here although some are sadly abusive. First, Jehovah's Witnesses do respect their countries and the laws of the land and they obey them as they are told to do scripturally. Sadly millions of brave people did die for our rights during both world wars. However, it was up to the clergy of all religious denominations to remind their followers that "Thou shalt not kill" and to "love even your enemy" as Jesus taught us. @bluebloodmoney What would be your solution for stopping World War II since you "don't have to kill someone to get it?." And you think Hitler persecuted religious and other groups because "they wouldn't help in the war?" Hitler was an intolerant psychopath who hated everyone that didn't fit into his ideal of the "master race." Stopping him from slaughtering millions of more people than he already did is not genocide. .

My point is this: If American and Allied forces had not intervened in World War II do you really think the Nazis and Imperial Japan would have stopped their campaign? You and I would not have have the freedom to have this conversation today if not for the sacrifices made by millions of men in WWII. What exempts AMERICAN JW's from having to make sacrifices to defend freedom and defend their country?

@synthetica83 i dont respect people the cause genocide but we cant blame all of the country for what some of the people in that country do and yes we do want religion freedom but why do we have to kill some one to get it why have to take a human life some one who may be force in war that as a family i could never take a life and yes genocide is not gods will so if i kill some one in the war isn't it genocide as well

@synthetica83 of course not what hitler did was pure evil and god did not find what hitler did acceptable at all and the people that were kill by hitler will be giveing a second chance of endless life by god and not just for jehovah's witnesses but for jews and blacks too. now as for hitler and the nazis they are dead for good and never will get a second chance of endless life and why do we have to kill humans to get our freedom when some times in the war people are force to fight not by choice
