"Shaked not stirred!" yeah like if he was going to notice the difference. James Bond was a complete snob.

daniel craig doesn't give a damn how it's prepared in casino royale.

nice answer! hehe

stirring is better: chills and slightly dilutes, while preserving the flavor of gin and vermouth.
james bond was a spy not a mixologist.

is that you, mccain? the perfect martini is sweeter (sweet/dry vermouth) than a dry martini and a cherry is better suited than a briny olive...unless you like sweet/salty.

Stirring too short

Yeah i dont get how people dont get the difference b/t a dry martini and a perfect martini. Still a good dry martini uses very little vermouth (usually they use more vermouth to cover up using garbage gin). I think people are looking for how to make a good dry martini and type in the word perfect without "getting it".

The "Perfect Martini" is a specific cocktail and it always includes both kinds of Vermouth. A Dry Martini has only dry (AKA French AKA white) vermouth. If you think a Martini has little or no vermouth you simply do not understand the cocktail. A Martini made with vodka is not a martini at all(it is an abomination)...a martini made without vermouth is simply a glass of cold gin. Gross! Sorry Winston Churchill, you are wrong.
D@D don't forge new recipes, it just take them from the Italian Bartender Association (AIBES), wich is the official higest Bartending School of Italy. For AIBES there's a hundred of "Cocktails Martini" called "Martinis", according to the "how to prepare it". "A Martini", in Italy, means a glass of Vermouth "Martini". Here we have a sample of what "A Perfect Martini" is: one of the Cocktail Martinis Family, not a "Dry Martini" showed as "the Perfect one".
