  • Yes, but it won't heat your room like an inefficient element will.

  • I have a question: would this be able to handle a larger pot? Such as a large pot of spaghetti?

I'm a college student so I'm limited on space, so I'm considering a portable induction cooktop.

The electric cooktop I have is very weak, and can't even boil a large pot.

I like to make large batches of food, so I don't have to cook often!

  • Thanks!

  • Because, It uses induction, Induction is the transfer of energy through electromagnetic fields, (almost like radiation), and only metal objects (farrace, objects, meaning the are attracted to electromagnetic fields) are heated. it is a great technology, it is how they melt metals at foundry plants, is with induction heating.

  • Amazing how it doesn't burn the paper towel.
