The Jackson Lab scandal continues in Collier County, Florida...
Commissioners Donna Fiala, Frank Halas, Fred Coyle and Jim Coletta continue to push the Jackson Lab proposal, while denying the public's right to vote on the use of millions of taxpayer dollars in order to bring the Jackson Lab to Ave Maria-- a town with a controversial "Special District" government, in Eastern Collier County.
Many see the Jackson Lab nebulous agenda as nothing but a real estate bail out of former pizza king, Tom Monaghan, and Barron Colliler Companies, who are partners in the development of Ave Maria.
In Part Six, members of the public ask more TOUGH questioms. The commissioners remain silent-- whenever strong, hard facts are presented to them, with the exception of Tom Henning, who continues to be the only brave dissenting commissioner insisting on accountability to taxpayers.
Part Six also shows Commissioners Donna Fiala and Fred Coyle criticizing the statements made by one of the speakers from the public. Their criticism exposed lack of sophistication, as public servants, in the handling of these proceedings. It also revealed their lack of in-depth knowledge of the subject matter. Were it not for the serious moral and ethical questions surrounding the Jackson Lab matter, the behavior of Fiala and Coyle could be material for a sitcom.
The fact that these four commissioners have the power to make decisions regarding millions of taxpayer dollars for the Jackson Lab "deal"-- is a frightening scenario, to say the least.
