911 Tapes Released in Stallworth Accident

Police have released the 911 audio tapes from the fatal crash involving Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth. Police now say the victim wasn't in a crosswalk when he was hit. (March 24)

Sorry 4 going-on but some of the comments made me so angry, so many people stand-up 4 this guy! What if it were YOUR loved 1? I've seen drunk sob's being so belligerent & 2 drunk 2 C what they've done say over & over I only had a couple beers, I'm not drunk! If I've EVER had 2 fight the urge 2 hit someone...like the laughing drunk who killed a 2 yr old & kept saying how cute she was while I carried her body 2 a gurney! Pls I beg U, open UR eyes! you're a murderer even if you apologized & paid the family money you killed a man, your intention is irrelevant we know better today how alcohol effects our reflexes & coordination! It's been well researched & many medical professionals won't even have 1 beer when on duty, they KNOW even a 1 or 2% impairment could cost someone their life! I don't know of any fire, medical or police prof's who don't agree w/ me! If he wasn't drinking cld he have seen he'd time to swerve if he didn't honk?......

I've no idea who Dante Stallworth is but as a paramedic w/ 20+ yrs on the job I can say 1 thing w/certainty....drink & drive & kill? You're a murderer! Today we KNOW the results of drinking & driving, you KNEW the danger but made a decision to ignore the danger & it cost someone their life!

I've pulled teenagers out of cars so burned their flesh just crumbled till I felt my hand grabbing bone!! Some so burned they had to be identified by dental records. So Mr. Stallworth, ..........con't

dante stallworth is my cousin and ya he probably deserved a little bit more time but he was drunk the guy was walking illegally and dante did honk but couldnt slow down in time and he did pay alot of money to the family

@iamcool4545 theres somthing called intentional and unintentional ...somtimes the punishment doesnt fit the crime whether its killing a person or torturing dogs....he wasnt killed intentionally so therefore he doesnt deserve a sentence for that..however it could have been prevented if he wasnt drinking

The 30 days was because the man was crossing the road illegally, therefore, the death, according to law, was not his fault. Donte could only be tried for driving under the influence. On top of that, there are even reports that the man JUMPED in front of Stallworth's car.
