  • You know what?! Fuck tha Akaka Bill!! Mau and all our people of Micronesia are and will always be proud of who we are and where we from!! We share a lot of respect with each other and don't need no bill to verify where we stand!! Mau NEVER wanted to become Hawaiian!! He was asked to help the hawaiians not become one! He has a strong culture and tradition back home, that still exist today because WE ARE MICRONESIANS! Visit any Micronesian Island we STILL speak our Native tongue! Still proud 2Be

  • Lol!..His Micronesian!!..He maybe brown!,but he's just like the white man!..doing it for the money!!!...

  • dislike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i hate how white man tries to separate the people of the pacific. ancient magick knowledge is still around in some places in polynesia. mau tried to restore hawaii because too many asians and whites erased most of the ancient teachings. he is part of my polynesian ppl.

  • Mau Piailug is a GREAT MICRONESIAN. His God-given talent and legacy will rest with him and his fellow MICRONESIANS! we are NOT hawaiians,we are proud Micronesians. And HAWAII should be thankful that there was a such a man as Mau; who helped a great deal to restore traditional navigational skills back to hawaii and the rest of polynesia.

  • I am Jr Retwaiut, descendent from our ancestors from the satawal ISLAND, same root where we came from ! I've lived on the Big Island from 07, ti'll now and still people dont understand that our ancestors came here before the brits or the americans , we communicate over the orizoneor in the middle of the mother nature of the open water. Since blindness has govern our eyes please Remember your fellow people which you consider not hawaiian.. we are one and nothing will seperate living mother

  • My girlfriend is Nieninuk, I asked what did you think about what was said, "Mau is not Hawaiian enough? Mau's ancestrial language use Hawaiian words and that is evidence, for example, the world Honolulu in chuuk is ouno and lulu. Master's during Mau's time his ancestor's that were the first to discover all Pacific Islands. We are discussing many words in Hawaiian and Chuuk. We agree that we already had our own culture before the foreigners came to our islands. Pushing their culture onto ours.

  • I'm on Maoliworld and I usually post on the forums heading. If anyone wants to write and talk with Na Kanaka people that is a very good site. We loath the very existence of the Akaka Bill, so we spend a great deal of time in different formats trying to Stop the Akaka Bill. It is a place of voice, just as your night time free conferences that a lot of you participate in talking to each other. I have a girlfriend that is from the Lagoon (sp) Chuuk. We have been friends since 2004, we are close.

  • My father is Kanaka Oo 'Niaupio, he lives at 1845 Maunawili Road in a kitchen he was born in.Dad's story is a sad one that began since the inception of the US landing in Hawaii. At my age, I am fortunate to have a dad, although he is very ill-he still works very hard in the yard, or building something. He is a typical Kanaka stubborn, but loving. This place was a place of refuse for 'Liliu' our Queen, therefore, we have lots of things on our property that depicts her beauty. We are still connected.

  • Our own people was divided over the years, first by Prince Kuhio, then US congress (Native American) and Na Kanaka Kane just by the mere definition of 'part Hawaiian' to mean the part of mom or dad and or both. All combined we are divided by a bloodquantum. In 1923 Native Hawaiian with 50% plus bloodquantum and 200 thousand acres was agreed upon by the business community. We became the whores of US, neglected by Na Kanaka Kane, and poorly educated in DOE system-but we were everybody's lolo kid.
