The "health insurance" industry is a big scam.
They take in all the money they can and they pay out as little as possible...their concern is profit over people. They take no "risk" the are not "capitalists" in the sense of good business; they are thieves.
The only reason we we don't have single payer health care (that would cover everyone for less than it costs for the current non system)
is because the thieving corrupt insurance industry buys politicians.
SCHIP is just the beginning!!!!!!!

You have no idea what you're talking about. Go live in Somalia or Darfur where the poor and the weak are routinely raped and killed.
The worst parts of NJ are heaven compared to those hell holes.
You sound like a typical right wing fanatic who hates the poor and minorities.
Whatever corruption exists in government is there because the "private sector" is bribing them legally through "campaign contributions" or under the table in a thousand different ways. Corporate media is *your* arena.

Nice try. We already have areas of America that look remarkably similar to Somalia and Darfur - check out south L.A., New Orleans, Camden, Paterson, Newark, NJ, parts of Denver, parts of Chicago, parts of Boston, parts of the South Bronx, parts of Brooklyn -- all areas run or controlled by LEFT-WING DEMOCRATS!!!
-
Oh and BTW, how many untold billions of taxpayer dollars have spent on NPR and PBS, government run media outlets that continually promote, disseminate and support, the left-wing point of view -- higher taxes, more government, expansionist welfare state. ***MY*** taxes go for these expensive public forums just as yours do. How come I never hear my political point of view being supported in these venues -only the views of the left? There's no other political points of view? Talk about a "con job"!

Sorry, I'd rather have an insurance company raise my premiums a little rather then the Feds rasie my taxes a lot. Beside insurance industry puts people to work, the government "redistributes" wealth so that young, able-bodied men and women can stay home with a six-pack, some reefer, 4 fatherless children and watch soaps and Jerry Springer reruns all day long. Though I'm not a big fan of them, I'll side with the Insurance industry over costly nanny-state laws and penalties any day.

BTW, you have major CEOs living in certain parts of Jersey. I'm guessing their income just from the interest they make from the bank from having saved would be enough to cover their property taxes if they live frugally. It's not like they are bad CEOs. They run Nabisco, Johnson and Johnson, Accenture, Merck, etc. I hope to save enough some day where all I did was live off interest by selling all my assets and living in a frugal house.
-
Cost of living in New Jersey is gonna be high because it's right next door to NYC a financial capital where many people work. Plus population density in Jersey is high. An apartment in NYC is like $1mill and some people complain about a 400k house in Jersey. Well guess what, it's call supply and demand. The people who know how to save/conserve/invest (asians, jewish, indians, whites) teach their children to compete for better paying jobs and thus have money.

"Cost of living is far higher than anywhere else in the country"
HAHAHAHA, at least Corzine admits that much. However, why dont you tell them why you damn schmuck. Good god, I cant wait to move from this state. Cost of living in NJ is high, so why hell did you raise the sales tax from 6% to 7% jackass.
And another thing....PUT ON YA DAMN SEATBELT.

I thought only cartoon villains like Mr. Burns did things such as vetoing bills that help children.
Let me ask this question: would you rather have socialized medicine, or would you rather die?
I've heard enough over the past six years to know that Republican talking points are almost always lies.
Anybody who can afford Health Care is not going to drop their insurance for a gov't program. What kind of an idiot comes up with this shit?

This bill was going to take money from taxes on cigarettes to pay for the increase. Not just out of your paycheck. Higher cig taxes = helping stop smoking, which we pay for everyday from people that suffer from smoking related diseases. Bush is not your typical american if you havn't noticed. He has not live one day in a middle class families shoes. He has had a silver spoon in his mouth ever since birth, and he has the balls to veto a child healthcare law. What a coward.
