what do u do when u guys do brake tests?
hhp8 2 years ago
Well, a brake test, just like on a freight train, must be done on passenger trains too before any departure, which basically by reading air guages which show brake pipe air pressure and and brake cylinder pressures, you must be able to assure from the rear end, that the brakes release and apply when the engineer releases or applies. If the engineer releases or allipes, and nothing shows on the guages, you have yourself a little problem!! Sometimes the emergency brake is also tested for reverses.

For those who think this was close to the train...think zoom lenses and a small pojtn and shoot camera just a couple inches outside the window with one hand!! I will reiterate from other video posts I have made similarly....."no conductor was harmed or even remotely close to being harmed in the making of this film!!"
