@Atropos911 2) His uncle wrote this poem while he was looking for him, he was addressing misha'al by singing to him and calling his name over and over again.

@nonaccord This is a Palestinian folkloric song,
basically it's about a guy named misha'al who was supposed to join the army during the Ottoman rule, but he managed to escape. and this song is some kind of lament about the hardships he's been through.
There are two stories about the origin of this song
1) When he escaped he wrote multiple poems from his hideouts and this is the poem he wrote in the tongue of his lover, in it she deplores him for leaving her.
