(I'll be) Staring at the SON
Music and Lyrics by: R.J. Miller

Verse 1
I ruminate, this all through:
what I deserve, you do imbue
Calculate, sins effect on you;
count the cost, you must construe
Deep in my soul, I find distain,
laughter and love, sorrow and pain
I am set free, from the mark of Cain;
Blood stained cross, echoing again.

Verse 2
Battered form, a human face,
humiliation, and disgrace
For their aim, was to debase,
the leaders had, no righteous case
What is truth, Pilot began,
there is no fault, within this man.
Crucify, I'll wash my hands;
pre-ordained now I understand

Chorus;
What will you do when all deeds are done,
What will you sing when all songs are sung
What will you spend your eternity on
As for me, I'll be Starring at the SON

Verse 3
Father forgive, what they now do,
this ordeal, I must pass through
Here is your son, for you to view,
Care for this woman, she's your mother too.
Thirst they proffered, gall'd wine,
sponge is attached, to hyssop vine
Attenuated, bow your head,
it's finished, the words you said

Verse 4
Reality, in disarray,
your last breath, blowing away
Vindication, and dismay,
white to black, light held at bay
Universe, began to shake,
deepest bowels, of hell did quake
You endured, by no mistake,
all the bonds, of death did brake
Repeat Chorus

An original song regarding the "Cross of Christ" My Son helped in the making of this video. He recited Psalms 23, at songs end, though it is rather souped up with effects, as is Proverbs 14:4 at the beginning of the song. It lacks many technical attributes, (I have yet to take a music lesson. I know, I should!) Yet it has a message that hasn't died in 2000 years. (I'm into worshiping the Son, but not sun worship.) It also has a "blues" groove, as I am partial to that form of music as well as music from that bug band from the 60's. Produced by: The Department of Redundancy Department Productions, in association with DLM. 2007
(Disclaimer: The use of my '67 Gibson EB-2 was for video purposes only as it has a short. I used my '03 HofNOT for recording)

Oh yeah, don't forget to read Proverbs 14:4
