Atheists and skeptics and Bible critics claim that Jesus' prophecy of His "Second Coming" mentioned in the Olivet Discourse (in Matthew 24) obviously didn't happen. Thus He's a false prophet. Dee Dee Warren shows that this is a misunderstanding of Jesus' prophecy.

  • @LillyofGod2003 Please explain"Jesus was talking about Peter."? Jesus was clearly predicting a first century return...and he made it clear in Matt 16:28 when he proclaimed "some who are standing here will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom"..Even "Jews for Judaism" agree...and therefore justify his execution as a false prophet. What they and all futurist Christians never consider is that he actually fulfilled his promise by 70AD! Read "Josephus"..

  • ~7:00 generation is a translation of eon, the age of pisces (fish).

  • @mikesglider Mathew 16:27 Jesus was talking about Peter. Jesus warned the disciples not to tell anyone such a story as had been pronounced by Peter and not go forth and teach such erroneous stories and false teachings. Read Phoenix Journal #2. And They Called His Name Immanuel I AM SANANDA (Jesus Christ). All of the answers are there from JESUS himself.

  • @solvssod I don't know why you imply these two "came way short of making any real case against our lord . not worth the time." What lord? I"m assuming you meant Jesus? They weren't trying to make a case against....but for the truth that Jesus kept his promises made to those he had promised! And they pointed out that it's futurism NOT preterists that tend to undermine the words of scripture into nonsense and falsehoods by the"unnatural" reading of the text. He told "THEM" the promises!

  • @mjt532 I agree...the critique of dispensationalism is very good. I disagree though with your ("guess") "that preterism has just as many problems as dispensationalism"...I've been researching this issue and the text (in context) clearly blew my mind...I was challenged to answer a couple of ?s: "Who was Jesus talking to"? (In Matt.16:27,28/Matt.24:1-35 etc.) and,"what are time statements within the prophetic texts telling us?" (ie. "near, at hand, very soon"etc.) Preterism is correct!?

  • Bascially a critique of modern day dispensationalism, with respect to the imminence of the second coming. They knock down this system, and then present a case for preterism. The critique was excellent, and exposes the lengths that people go to in order to make the facts fit their theory. But my guess is that preterism has just as many problems as dispensationalism.

  • this seem like a personal phone call most of the time , and came way short of making any real case against our lord . not worth the time.
