  • Just to clarify my previous comment was for user called 'toiletlog'

  • Hate causes more hate.

    Peace is the answer!

    Can't you understand that?

  • uklittleguy, respect and the good things in life go to those who are willing to fight in battle for them.

if you are afraid or unwilling to fight for your land or way of life, you deserve to be conquered/die/starve.

reality/history bears this out quite well i think, unfortunately chiding against the mindsets of liberals, hippies, and children.

reality, like water, always seeks its own level.

  • ...just to clarify,

my 'previous comment' was aimed at the person who goes by the name of 'toiletlog'. ;)

  • I have to agree with you when you said:-

    'respect has to be "earned".

At least i agree with you on 'that'

thank you for this interesting discussion. :)

  • 'I rest my case' ;)

  • You are entitled to your opinion :)

My point is..'Understanding' different cultures, ways of life, social class etc, may help us realise the struggle some people go through to 'survive'.

I believe we are 'all equal' on this planet and everyone should be treated as such.

Why should you or I be more deserving than anyone else on the planet?

Some people may be less deserving of respect, but if we understand why they have to live their lives in such a way it may explain a lot. There's a thought

  • yeah, but saying that is like saying you're going to stop crime or pollution. sounds real good to say, but practically impossible to implement in the real world.

not everyone deserves respect. not everybody does respectful things. respect has to be earned, it's not a birthright, political right, or human right. usually, the people who cry about respect the most, deserve it the least. the top 3 that come to mind are: gang members, illegal immigrants, and starving people who overbreed.

  • ...Respect for each other is 'key' to the solution! (in my opinion)

  • ...I still believe change 'is' possible. ;)
