hey maybe you can help me with my prob.

my ps2 says some save data for a game is corrupt. but the data is fine. should I back up the data to another memory card?

this happened to me yesterday when i was turn on my ps2 to play svr 09 is said no save file so i went to browser and clicked my memory card and it hade 3 blue cubes and each said corrupt data and it wont let me delete it and every time is save svr 09 it vanishes how do get rid of it all of my pther games are saved on it

this is easy to fix if you have "007 Agent Under Fire" or a memory card with FMCB installed.

Filesystem corruption. I faced a worse case a few days ago. That POS said "Size : Counting..." and froze the fucking browser. The problem was EEC related. There are 3 ways to fix it :

1 - Dump the MC, recalculate EECs and reflash it (no data loss)

2- Format the MC with a homebrew/3rd party software

3 - Short some pins of the flash chip (according to its datasheet) to format the Memory Card from the PS2 MC browser.

Solution 3 is the most reliable for non modded consoles owners with no AR/GS/CB/XP

i had to open mi ps2 up and stick a bit of cardboard under disk reader(not in disk tray) coz it made weird buzzing noise everytime u changed the disk(eject disk).in the end we got a good old slim.only prob with is is it sat 5 YEARS untouched so when i put sonic collection plus in it messed memry up and smelt like it was burning.aint touched it since. XD. lol

I have an older copy of Gameshark that can format a memory card. It fixes the Memory Card everytime :)
