Thats the look! 4.05 to 4.11 that is definitely the look. Basically he wanted her and if she had said the word he would have left Nat for her in a heart beat. But I have to give my girl Vang credit when she hit him with "I`m the one sleeping alone and your not" he deserved that and whole lot more but she was always a lady, and a lady always knows when to leave.

@2riseintruth Even classy women can stand up for themselves. I hate that the writers let nat be so mean spirited toward Van and she not be able to have a good rebuttal. She is an attorney. I also realize that when ever the two women were at "odds" John always defended Van---interesting.

VANGE doesn't have a mean bone in her body, but the writer's could have let her say a few choice words to Natalie, just to put her in her place. However, I'm sure that Vange would not want to stoop to her (Natalie) level. Vange is too classy and too much of a lady to lower herself into name calling. Grow up Natalie!

"The only difference is, I'm sleeping alone and you're not".Good answer! Furthermore, if John was so in love w/Vange and we all know he was and perhaps still is, "why did he say, he didn't know how he felt about her until now". I think John is using Natalie to get over Vange which is never going to happen because they are truly soulmates. Natalie has all these mean spirited lines that she gets to use on Vange, and in truth, it should be the other way around. The WRITERS ARE JUST WRONG!!!!

The entire time after Jovan broke up, John was waiting for some sign that Van would take him back. With Natalie or not, John wanted Van back. Any time Van shows him the smallest sign of affection, hope springs eternal for John.

@bella50008 Haha, I bet they did have to remind him! And YES...he's eyes say everything!! Why couldn't they let that be enough for Van. We all knew she was the one he loved! Have u seen him With Nat now? If he didn't think that baby she is having was his, he'd so be out of there. He was the same way with Marty, He's not in love with them.

@Sliverkitten1 ...you're right, he did. I think the director probably had to keep reminding John: "you're in love with Natalie, not Evangeline. Stay in character, stay in character." His eyes give it away. He loves Van!
I detest how the writers made Van so vunerable, sad and way too forgiving to John. I agree they have unmatched chemistry and the actors would have preferred to stay together, but some her lines are just foolish and absolutely NOT what a woman of her caliber and social standing would say. I would have told him and Natalie, look there is an innocent man in prison, you two idiots can play games, but I'm gonna do what I do best. John you were a good time, but you are NOT the only game in town.

I think its the way he looks at her the whole dayum clip. I can't believe he didn't love her. It's all over him, in the way he talks to her and and the looks.
