Man, that lady made the fastest signs of the cross I've ever seen (and I don't blame her) she put most of our Greek grandmas "speed crossing " to shame. But I'd need more than one shot of vodka to jump in there.

In some places the cross is put on one side of a river and several people race to it from the other side. The cross is usually nice and stylized and the winner gets it as a prize.

@gambleor But with less ice, I should think. I have been in Thess/niki for Theophany and seen this in Greece. Actually, it is cold if there is a "Vardari"
