It was November 4th
I last held your hand
It seemed our time would last forever
You said don't ever leave
I thought you'd never go
I wish I could just remember your name...

You're just a memory now
Like all the ones before
But with your pain I've had to suffer
Your eyes alight with flame
As the picture burns
I hear the screams from long ago

They cry remember, blood-red streaks on
velvet throats at night
The streetlights fanned our trail of fame
through

London London
The memories will never leave me
London London
All I see is you
London London
The cries in the night
Keep bringing me toLondon London
Calling out to me

Oh there's some things in life I could never face
The worst is being alone
Sometimes I wish I could have taken your
place my love
You know I don't want to live forever

Oh let me see you standing in theshadows once again
We'll walk the streets like long ago in

London London
The fire in your eyes will be bringing me to
London London
All I need is you
The cries in the night keep ringing on in
London London
Calling out to you

  • I love the back up vocals on the studio version. Very underrated song and CD.

  • This is one of the best songs Queensryche ever recorded! There is so much atmosphere within this tune, it's amazing!

  • London London

The memories will never leave me.

Says it all for me also. Truly magnificent.

  • @liquifex They still do 3 part harmonies with parker lundgren the new guitar player, he's just not in this video.

  • I loved this song before my son was born but even more after. His birthday is Nov. 4. LOL

  • i gotta say not bad. the band is still strong but the vocals have diminished too much. this compared to the album is miles apart. i feel bad for geoff. he was epic back in the day.

  • "Back in the day", they were so much better live because they would do 3-part harmonies and it sounded absolutely amazing. I saw them on the original mindcrime tour with Metallica and Chris D would do the high backing vocals. They're still tight here, but clearly you can notice the high part missing, heh. Chris was a HUGE part of this band.

  • aauughh the background vocals suck so bad!! every little thing in the original song was there to create an amazing atmosphere... yes i also wish chris had been

in the band when they recorded live evolution, it would have been so much different

  • I was very fortunate enough to see this song played live on the Rage for Order tour. Truly amazing band over the years.

  • Great song and one of my most favorite bands seen them do this song on the mindcrime tour opening for metallica. This version makes me wish that Chris was still in the band;this version is slow and the backing vocal's are weak.

  • @bernardi47 Hard to say it's underrated anymore. I think the true fans recognize it for being the ultimate masterpiece that it is! Cheers!

  • What DVD is this?
