@ay0rock I agree with you that this kind of hip-hop is no longer appreciated, Now it's too commercialized, it's all about profit/gimmicks, and as the songs says, it's no longer raw/uncut. But I do disagree with you about original hip-hop artist not being recognized outside of the US. Have you forgotten about EPMD, KRS-One, LL Cool J, Salt N Pepa, Queen Latifah, and the list goes on. They are the reason why hip-hop became so popular outside the U.S. Music today wouldn't stand a chance w/o them.

@ay0rock Fo real??? You saying that mobb deep didn't sell???
-
@ZaneStoneCo93 there's a reason they don't make them like this anymore bro. it's because it wouldn't sell. kids want something they can dance to. music has moved on from what it use to be. rappers do still make music like this, they are just unknown or very low volume sales. it's like someone from the 90's comparing that rock to today's and frowning. Certain things have to change in order to evolve. If hip hop stayed like this. They wouldn't be known outside their own country

@wagooairlines "they had to pay a shit load of money to have Em listen to mobb deep"??? hahaha what?? Em is a HUGE mobb fan. all ur fav rappers are. LEGENDARY Mobb Deep kid. get with it and stop listening to hip POP.
-
@wagooairlines Someone said that before, I think you... but any way, u didn't had mom like he, which does more dope then eminem himself. and what eminem says, is real :) Mob deep is a gangsta, I;m not a gangster and I don't know what thug life is or whatever.. respect to him, but I don't really understand him. What eminem raps about is everyday problems, and I can understand it perfectly. it's just individual
See this was when Hip Hop was at it's finest. When artist's actually told a story with there songs, all of these new rapper's now a days spit about there car's, money, bitches, and there cribs. What the Fuck happened to Hip Hop? Hip Hop is no longer told, it's sold!!
