As I sit and watch the snow
Fallin' down
I don't miss you at all
I hear children playin' laughin' so loud
I don't think of your smile

So if you never come to me
You'll stay a distant memory
Out my window I see lights going dark
Your dark eyes don't haunt me

And then I wonder who I am
Without the warm touch of your hand

And then I wonder who I am
Without the warm touch of your hand
As I sit and watch the snow
Fallin' down

I don't miss you at all
I don't miss you at all
I don't miss you at all

  • Who I am ... Is a deep question... The same I am I was before I met the significant other. I am not defined by my relationships. A relationship that rises out of this realization is a love given freely without any attachment.

  • @daffodilZephyr Thats the exact same image I thought of

  • You should listen to Norah play this song live at Tanglewood on Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz show. When Marian simply says "Duke would have liked it, you should put it on your next CD" was an incredible connection. Marian used to play with Duke Ellington at the Hickory House in NYC. Also check out their version of " Summertime"

Search the piano jazz archives on NPR's website

  • @gggskywalker fake and gay

  • I'd be lying if I say I don't miss her at all, but I don't care, cause I wanna miss her =)

  • this makes me think of someone alone during the holidays

  • Amazing.... Check out the original, Duke Ellington's "Melancholia" (She wrote the words over an Ellington piece)

  • The most beautiful song ever written. Simple and powerful.
