Wonderful comparison. I Love the souls series for the great stories they tell, The catch? you need to find it.

Great description or rather, extrapolation on The lore of dark souls, there's sometthong missing in dark souls though, I actually prefer Demons Souls, it has a better atmosphere?

Something about Ash Lake. It seems the world is built upon these trees, but if you read the description on the red and white round shield it says that the large trees in Lordran are descendants of the Archtrees. If this is true then the giant trees that hold up the world have not always existed. It is almost like during the age of fire they decided to build the world higher up or something. Just something I found interesting. Also it sounds like the giant trees are only in Lordran but who knows.

@PropaneWP ja, Lordran :p I would guess most of this game's lore is speculation except for what is told, but this is what makes the lore so interesting :)

@Carnophage I'm Norwegian as well.
I agree. I've seen names from norse mythology being sprinkled around completely at random in a lot of Japanese games. The same might go for Dark Souls. But, considering how convoluted the lore in this game is, it wouldn't be possible to say anything much about it without resorting to some degree of speculation.
By the way... "Lordran" is the proper world name, isn't it.
This may have been asked, but who is the girl you find in Blightown near the bonfire by the waterwheel?
All the storylines seem so interesting but I miss 90% of them :(

@zCeras I have more videos on the story. :) She is Quelaan, one of Izalith's daughters. I have an entire video just for them. They're awesome.

I'm curious your personal opinion on the "rehash" material. I love Dark Souls but I thought it was a little lacking in original content. The first I really encountered was Bell Gargoyle and at that point I was like "heh...ok well that's cool. An homage." Then I was like "another tower knight?" and "another fool's idol?" And blighttown was an awful lot like VoD. Seemed a little heavy-handed in borrowing from demon's souls. What did you think about these carry overs?

@stolenrims It was a bit lazy of them - but I feel they added enough variety to make it interesting. As far as blight town goes - I liked it, but they definitely could have made a poison swamp or something completely separate from a slum or ghetto although it adds to the dramatic sociopolitical message. So I understand. I was kind of hoping for another epic storm king-esque battle that just makes you go "O____O' when you see him descend from the sky.
