  • What is the name that he mentions at 34:17 right after La Boetie?

    Thanks!

  • @Jaluzaga Hume (David Hume). He also comes up in a video 'On Morality and Utility', on my channel.

  • This was awesome. HHH is one of the best there is.

  • Agreed. That's why I'm trying to get more people to hear him.

  • @lukeev Do you have a list of your other top 10 or 20 mises videos. Thanks

  • "the foundation of liberty is private property"

this is the essence of the "libertarian" philosophy, it clearly reveals itself as a system of believes, all built on this core idea.

I wish Hoppe would use his critical thinking on his own position, but maybe that would drive away his sponsors...

  • @grantsinmypants2 "Sociology is not only worthless, but dangerous"

    Agree, would like to add:

sociology doesn´t put out predictions that could be empirically tested, which is mandatory for any science according to "critical rationalism" as laid out by Popper.

The same is true for psychology and economics - pseudo-sciences...

Popper called the different approaches "nominalism" ("what does that mean?") vs. "essientialism" ("what is it?"), but I think it´still: sophism vs. philosophy.
