~Hey Kayla. Look I havent been to my locker. Talk and walk!~
~Okay. But youll never believe this!~ I looked at her, ~Well, come on already, tell me!~ she laughed. ~Youll never guess who Carter is dating! Elaina Murphy!~ my jaw dropped.
~You mean, THE Elaina Murphy?!?!~ Okay, so let me clear something up here. Carter is one of our few friends and he NEVER dates. Like, NEVER. He says that he was in love and the girl cheated on him so hes scare to date anyone else. And well he had a crush on Kayla at one point but Kayla kinda ignored him until he got over it because she just didnt see him as anything more than a friend. And now hes dating the cheerleading captain! Go Carter! One problem: shes not exactly girlfriend material. She dates for appearance; never really cares about the guy. I hope Carter doesnt get hurt

~Oh- huh?~
~You totally spaced out just then. Locker! Walk! But yeah- hes dating Elaina. Amazing, huh?~
~Sorry. And yea- its crazy. What if she doesnt erm like him or whatever?~ She shrugged, ~Nothin we can do bout it.~ I nodded and started power walking towards my locker. I quickly dialed in the combination and grabbed my books. ~Okay. Lets go , lets go. I really dont want to be late!~
Yeah and I do. Kayla mumbled sarcastically. I rolled my eyes and started towards class but was stopped by someone grabbing my arm from behind me. I spun around, angry. ~WHA- Oh hey Carter. I gotta get to class. See you later, okay?~ He grabbed my arm again, ~Wait- Guess what?!~ I was getting a little irritated by now; It would be the 3rd time this week that I was late for school, which would mean I get detention for 3 days. So not cool. I looked around and didnt see Kayla anywhere. Great, she went to class; Ill be the only one late. I turned back to Carter.
~Okay, Im gonna be late anyways so go ahead, talk.~ I threw my arms up in frustration. He winced, ~Sorry. But youll forgive me.~ He grinned and I got a little suspicious. ~What are you talking about?~ I watched him pull something out of his pocket.
I glanced back up at his face. ~What are you talking about?~ I asked, getting even more suspicious. He laughed at me and placed an envelope in my hand. ~Open it.~ I I as I was told and when I saw what was in the envelope my jaw dropped. I looked back up at Carter.
~No. Way.~ He grinned. ~Are you- are you serious?~ He smiled and nodded. I squealed and hugged his neck. ~Omigosh. This is- insane, crazy, awesome!!!!!!!!~ HE laughed at my excitement and handed me another envelope. I tilted my head at him questioningly. ~For Kayla.~ I nodded and smiled.
~Thank you so much! But why? I mean, what id we do that earned this?~ he laughed and shifted his weight to his right side, ~Well, you two were my friends. And you know good and well I wouldnt of had any other friends if it werent for you two.~
~Awwww! But you didnt have to do this! I mean-how much were they?~
~Dont worry about it!~
~Im gonna pay you back when I get enough money, I promise.~ He shook his head, ~No. I wanted to do something nice for you guys. Really- dont worry about it. Please.~ I sighed and with clenched teeth, ~Fine. But-~ He smiled and hugged me.
~So do you forgive me for making you late to class?~ He grinned and I laughed. ~Of course! By the way- Youre AWESOME!!!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~ HE laughed and said his goodbyes and went to class. I pulled out my phone;
~Meet me in the bathrooms Sam~
I texted Kayla. She will so freak when she see this.
You most likely know what Carter got them but here it is anyways; What did Carter get them? Oh and Im sorry for not posting. But my mom has been wanting me to help her clean the house and stuff so Ive been kinda busy. And I lost all of my files on my computer due to a stupid computer virus. Evil! Evil, I tell you!
