Its a good start to touring to go with a group.Some people just like things organised for them , its also a way of meeting new friends.I have done both , each type has its merits.

It will be cheaper, nicer and the reward is higher as guided.... Every average intelligent person can find out which itineraries are the best in a country and where to sleep...
