CAROLINE's Point of View:

I held Frankie's expectant gaze. How could I let him down? But what else could I do really? His suggestion was on the verge of IMPOSSIBLE! I put a hand on his shoulder to steady his excitement. He must've read the look on my face, because the look on HIS fell instantly. I glanced at Kevin for guidance, but he only shrugged his shoulders. I glared in response. He laughed and silently excused himself as he strode off to order a coffee.

I returned my attention to Frankie, offering a small smile. He didn't return the gesture. Some first impression I was making.

"Look Frankie," I finally spoke. "Not everyone owns a plane." He shrugged as Kevin had a moment earlier. They really are brothers.

In my peripheral vision, a familiar figure catches my attention. I didn't need to turn to figure out who it was. A solution came to me that instant. I looked up at a sullen, hung-over face, shooting her a huge grin. She winced. Maybe not EVERYONE owns a plane....

"But Juliet, here, isn't like everyone else," I say to Frankie, still looking up at Juliet.

***
"Look Kevin! Look! Look! We're as high as the cwouds!" he shouted happily. Frankie ran over to where Juliet and I were seated and jumped onto my lap. The private jet was flying smoothly, allowing its passengers to roam about freely. "Thank you Cawoline! You're the best!"
I laughed. "Hey, this isn't my plane remember?" Frankie wrapped his short arms around Juliet's neck. "Thank you Juliet." His eyes filled with admiration. "I can't believe you have a airplane."
"Best believe it, hun," she winked. Causing Frankie to blush furiously. He scurried off to Kevin.
I nudged Juliet playfully. "Seems like somebody has a crush," I singsonged.
"Caroline, puh-lease." Rolling her eyeballs dramatically for effect. "That is extremely immature. But that's just the way you are," she sighed.
"Hey, what's that suppose to mean?" I whimpered, somewhat jokingly.
"Well you have chosen to seek revenge on an individual, instead of handling your situation more maturely," she explained calmly.
"But YOU do that ALL the time!" I countered defensively. And boy did she ever. That was the only reason I had asked for her help. She shot me a cold glare. "You see that guy there," I said pointing discreetly at Kevin.
"Yeah," she murmured, her eyes softening.
"Well his name is Kevin Jonas, and his brother goes to YOUR school, Birchmount High," I explained. "And like I said earlier at Starbucks, I need something that'll leave the guy; Kevin's brother; you're schoolmate, feeling abandoned and oh so lonely." Oh man I seriously am in need of maturing! But that can wait, because Joe is gonna be in for it! Juliet tore her gaze from Kevin and looked at me confidently.
"I'll handle it."
I smiled back at her gratefully, leaning back into the luxurious leathered seat. "So how are you feeling?"
"I've been better," Juliet answered. "I've never been the type to become car sick or plane sick and this hangover will pass."
From my seat I could see Frankie pulling Kevin out of his, and dragging him towards me and Juliet. Frankie climbed into the seat facing Juliet and Kevin plopped down beside him.
"Hey," Kevin casually directed at Juliet. "Thanks for this. Frankie really loves planes."
"Yeah," Frankie jumped in. "I wanna be a pilot when I'm bigger!"
We all laughed. His young energy was contagious.
"Well it's really no big deal," Juliet shrugged. "Really."
Kevin smiled at her. "Still. Thanks."
Once again Juliet shrugged and directed her attention to her window. I cleared my throat awkwardly. Kevin was studying Juliet's profile when Frankie nudged Kevin forcefully. "Oh yeah!" Kevin mumbled quietly. "Um Juliet, Frankie here was wondering if you'd like to come to his 5th birthday party as his date." He laughed. Frankie, red with embarrassment, punched Kevin.
"Sounds cool," Juliet stated simply. She winked at a beaming Frankie, once again.
"Alright, I'll give you girls your invitations, when ever they're made."
"Can't wait!" I exclaimed.
"Me too," Frankie stated breathlessly as he watched Juliet studying the clouds surrounding the plane. Me and Kevin managed to hold in our laughter.

We all watched the clouds in silence. They acted as a safety net in a way, seeming to have the capability of keeping us aloft. It really isn't like that at all, but it's nice to have something to believe in.
