If a beautiful luxurious home on the canal is what you are looking for, Casa Maggie is it. Situated in the center of the middle canal (the most desirable of the 3 canals) Casa Maggie is among the nicest homes in Barra de Navidad.

This brand new 3 story, 3800 sq foot, home was constructed with the latest in technology, utilizing steel and concrete, similar to that of Maui, Hawaii, which is of the same geographical type/zone of this area. Unlike a typical Mexican concrete brick/block house, this weather/earthquake proof home is fully insulated, deflecting heat, rather than retaining it within the walls, resulting in a cooler inside, with considerably smaller electrical bills. The house was designed by a popular Guadalajara architect, incorporates lots of rounded corners, nooks and air-flow throughout the home, providing additional comfort.

The main floor contains a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen, with all black American GE appliances (Fridge, Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher), flat screen TV, as well as a center island with a Jenn-air cook top/grill, all amongst 1 piece granite counters and hand crafted Caoba (Mexican Mahogany) cabinets. Off the kitchen there is a small private outside breakfast/reading atrium, a laundry room with a Westinghouse Washer Dryer, a canal view dining room and separate canal view living room looking up to a spectacular lighted cupola. There is also a ½ bathroom.

The second floor has a family TV room, two large master bedrooms, one facing the canal, each with small balconies, flat screen TV, custom bathrooms, with showers and tubs. The main master bathroom has a custom Japanese soaking tub. This floor also has a separate ½ bath, a 3rd room, with a hide a bed, which can be used as an office or exercise room.

The 3rd floor is the activity center and highlight of the house, with a second TV, entertaining room, ½ bath and bar area. Two large sliding Caoba wood pocket doors open to a spectacular outdoor entertainment area, with a pool table (under a palapa roof), plenty of seating area, with views of the whole canal, part of the lagoon and the Grand Bay Resort.

Features also include gated street access, with parking for 3 vehicles, a concrete and steel garden storage area, along with outside and inside access to a wonderful workshop/fishermans room, with cabinets and custom rod storage. The canal side of the home features a wonderful, large infinity pool, palapa canal side sitting area, barbeque area and its own lighted dock with live bait tank and ample space for the imported 23 foot Parker center console boat, which comes with the home. Right off the dock one can catch small snapper, snook and barracuda.

This house is wired for music, with ceiling flush mounted speakers throughout, satellite surround sound TV and wireless internet, security gate camera, with 2 iPod docking stations and custom control touch panels throughout the house.

Casa Maggie is ¾ furnished at this time with custom Columbian bamboo furniture, original Ed Luterio paintings, which can also be negotiated with the sale of this home. There are a couple of finishing touches unfinished, leaving such to buyers tastes.
