Ruto defends his stand on Mau

Agriculture Minister William Ruto defended his stand on the Mau issue. The minister said it is about poor squatters settled in the Mau and who must be compensated. As NTVs Rita Tinina reports, Ruto is also dismissing claims that he is using the Mau Forest to hold Prime Minister Raila Odinga at ransom.

Ruto a tribal leader, he cares more about the welfare of the kalenjins than of Kenyans. So to him he gives no toss if the country goes dry and becomes a desert so long as his accomplises keep the huge tracks of ill gotten land in the Mau.
