Actor and environmental activist Mark Ruffalo explains how the controversial practice of hydro-fracking threatens our health and that of our planet. The conversation with Deepak investigates how government policy has exempted fracking from the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts, permitting the natural gas industry to inject hazardous chemicals and millions of gallons of water deep into the earth. Mark hopes to inspire millions to join the movement to protect our water.
and shift to a renewable energy economy.

  • I love Mark Ruffalo. It's good to see significant figures who possess a lot of influence taking part in the changing of our world!!!

  • "We watch impassively as the wealthy and the elite, the huge corporations, rob us, ruin the environment, defraud consumers and taxpayers and create an exclusive American oligarchy that fuses wealth and political power. We watch passively because we believe we can enter the club ... It is greed that keeps us silent." - Chris Hedges

  • As long as we let them exchange our environment for money they will do it without regard to the future of this country.

  • Ruffalo's jaw keeps chewing like he's on coke. Look from 4.30 mins.

  • What has happened to Deepak? Is he sick?

  • Love this cause and the education of hydraulic fracturing... but extremely disappointed in the consumption of plastic bottled water during this interview.

  • Thank you for this simple explanation of fracking.
