trd superchargers arent known for the power gains as made obvious here, should have went with a turbo then u would be making 300+ easy
-
just soo all you faggets saying almost up to a stock civic si, dynoed they only have about 175 at the wheels
-
major question. did you get that put in by the dealership. cuz i rather get my 07 put in by the factory

@heat7072 Negative chief, the pulley system to drive a supercharger uses a percentage of torque. Think about the loss of power to twist the driveline components. For manuals a loss of 16-18% is normal, for automatics a loss of 19-22%. Accessories also rob your engine of power at around 12-14%.

seems weak. My turbo RSX-S get 254 on aobut 6.5psi. 200whp is an RSX-S with Intake and exhaust

I just got a tc as a dd. Its it worth getting a supercharger?
-
@heat7072 Actually a supercharger does take power to make power, think of it as turning on the air conditioning. You feel the power drop right? the difference is the supercharger is still making more power then it takes to spin it. A friend of mine and I put a Supercharger on his big block Chevy and I know the supercharger took about 80 horsepower to turn.

I know this is old, but you were frustrated with 205 whp? these came with 160 CRANK hp, which equates to about 136 WHEEL hp, with the 15% drivetrain loss. if this was making 205 whp, then this had somewhere btwn 230-240 crank horse. shit, that's at least a 70 HP GAIN with an intake and the supercharger. i mean you couldn't have expected 100+ hp did you? not saying, just saying lol
-
@ShortHomie93 obviously. it comes from the factory with more horsepower you dumbass. Why don't you just say "my stock Ferrari would rip this thing a new butt hole hahahaha".
-
my stock civic si would rip this thing a new butt hole hahahaha
With a supercharger it takes power to make power, you are just over breaking even on the gain. You may be pushing 9psi but the engine is working a lot harder just to build the boost. Go turbo!

neg, it doesnt take power to make power. More like, power is a by-product of normal engine conditions. In fact, my engine isnt working any harder at all to build boost.
