The State of Wayland Massachusetts RE Assessments 2009

A presentation by the Wayland Massachusetts Board of Assessors to the Board of Selectmen and the public on the 'State of Wayland Assessments' as of 12/8/09. The video starts out with public commentary from two concerned citizens and then segways into a part of a presentation by a Mr. Harald Sheid, who was hired by the town of Wayland, to study and assess the problems and corrective solutions to Wayland's assessment issues. The main concern is that the new Vision software does not have enough correct field data or sales data to accurately assess properties in the most fair manner and the tax burden is shifted from the larger properties with large land lots to smaller properties.
